Write Some Comedy - Comedy Workshops for Women, Non-Binary & LGBTQI+ Folk
Hello! it's Jane. I offer comedy workshops and masterclasses that specialise in writing stand up, sketches, characters, putting together your own one person show, using social media and TikTok.
My workshops are mostly for Women, Non-binary and LGBTQI+ Folk so that they can feel more safe and supported when they're stepping out of their comfort zone. Plus, these are the people who are often under represented in the comedy world and society in general.
The workshops are now taking place in-person in Manchester and I still have some taking place on Zoom so you can join from anywhere in the World.
I've designed these online Comedy Workshops and Masterclasses to include everything I wish I'd known when I started doing comedy. Since 2017, I've taught comedy to hundreds of people across the World.
Since 2015, I've written and performed five different one woman comedy shows for Brighton Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe and the Women in Comedy Festival. My shows sold out at festivals, gained rave reviews and were nominated for awards. I'm also a Funny Women Awards finalist.
My work has also led to me being heard on the Radio 4 comedy drama, 'Almost like being in love', the BBC New Comedy Award Heats 2018 on Radio 4 Extra and BBC Radio Cumbria.e,
I'm here to help you achieve your comedy goals. It's never too late to start scratching that comedy itch. My previous students have gone on to do stand up comedy, write their own one person shows, start podcasts, write books and more!
